Maegan Broadhurst is a Montreal-born artist living in Toronto with a research interest in emotional geography in public and private spaces. In addition to her individual practice, Broadhurst works with Canadian artist Immony Men to foster collaborative engagements within communities exploring the emotional landscape of their cities. Broadhurst has exhibited at Gallery 44 (Toronto), the Art Gallery of Mississauga, RMG Exposed (Oshawa), aceartinc (Winnipeg) and has spoken at the My City’s Still Breathing Symposium (Winnipeg) and the Pop Montreal Symposium. Broadhurst holds an MFA in Documentary Media from Ryerson University, and has previously completed her BA, specializing in Communication Studies at Concordia University. Professionally, Broadhurst has taught art and media at a CEGEP and University level and has worked with Canadian non-profit organizations that engage their community through art and education.
